The United Nations has declared 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives, thus recognizing the essential role cooperatives play in global economic, social, and sustainable development. In this context, the cooperative movement in the Republic of Moldova, through Moldcoop, is preparing to mark the International Day of Cooperatives with a large-scale event dedicated to celebrating the values and achievements of Moldovan cooperativism.

The event will bring together representatives of consumer cooperatives from across the country, leaders of the cooperative movement, institutional partners, and community members, in a festive setting aimed at highlighting the importance of solidarity, cooperation, and active involvement in economic and social life.

During the International Year of Cooperatives, Moldcoop reaffirms its commitment to promoting and strengthening cooperative principles, contributing to the development of local communities and improving the standard of living of its members. The event dedicated to the International Day of Cooperatives will also provide the opportunity to showcase the sector’s achievements, ongoing projects, and future perspectives in light of new economic and social challenges.

Through this initiative, Moldcoop aims to strengthen existing partnerships, encourage the exchange of best practices, and promote the cooperative as a successful model in the modern economy.
