Territorial Cooperatives Prepare for the International Day of Cooperatives in the International Year of Cooperatives

As the world celebrates the International Year of Cooperatives, declared by the United Nations, consumer cooperatives across Moldova are actively preparing to mark the International Day of Cooperatives with dedication and purpose.

In the Anenii Noi district, preparations are in full progress. Local cooperatives have initiated a broad range of modernization and improvement works, aiming to provide better services and a more welcoming environment for the community. Commercial spaces are undergoing interior and exterior renovations, being equipped with modern retail technologies, and reconfigured to align with current market needs.

These efforts go beyond aesthetics—they represent a firm commitment to the core values of the cooperative movement: solidarity, sustainability, and community development.

The Central Union of Consumer Cooperatives of the Republic of Moldova (Moldcoop) commends and supports these initiatives, emphasizing the importance of cooperative action in improving the quality of life in local communities and fostering economic resilience.
